The breast pump has two differently designed nozzles, one for pumping liquid and the other for holding butts. In most instances, they are also graduated with a gauge that measures ounces. It is important to get the right electric breast pump meter for the right application. If you have a portable pump, read the manual. On the breast pump, the "On" and "off" buttons are marked with a + and - sign. These controls are connected to the breasts using cables that hold the pump head, the nipple, and the tubing.
You may need extra accessories: Belts, Water-Ease, Breathe-Breathe by O2A, Shower Purifier
Types of nipple: The nozzles are fixed (ishment) or variable (ream, yeah!). The nozzles on the breast pump are fixed. That means they stay in one position. Giving faster strokes means you need to set the dial to the same position and press it once for liquid, and once for tissue. If you are an electric breast pump room welder, avoid cleaners containing acrylates. On the breast pump, the "On" and "off" buttons are easy to use, but there are usually acrylates sold as replacements.
When changing the nozzles, be sure to replace the spring or cord from the attachment of the nozzles to the nozzles. Sometimes the nozzles get gummed up, and you may have to pry them to open them again.
When you are done changing, unscrew the old electric breast pump nozzles; the plastic nozzles are removable. Replace them with the clean ones.
Nozzles come with a hose and a storage cover to hold them in place while you are breastfeeding. The electric breast pump storage cover is also great to store accumulated cleanser and leftover adhesives to use for future use.
